Endotoxin Retention Filter
Endotoxin is a toxin released from the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria when they are destroyed. One of the major concerns related to water for medical and pharmaceutical applications is microbiological control, certainly involving endotoxin control.
Endotoxin retention filters are of the hollow fiber type (capillaries) made of polysulfone, with a porosity of 0.05 micron absolute, capable of retaining endotoxins present in water.
Unlike others, the filters commercialized by Saubern have validation for this purpose and have biocompatibility for medical applications.

Benefits
-Efficiency validated in the laboratory by removing 100% endotoxin when challenged with up to 5.0 EU / ml at the filter inlet.
